Charity Day Planned for 29th May
Brothers
have secured the services of former NRL players Josh
Stuart (North Sydney and Northern Eagles) and Jason
Death (Canberra, North Queensland, Souths and Warriors)
as guest players to help promote the clubs Round 6
Rick Keast Shield game against Junee Diesels.
Stuart and Death will help fill the void created
by Blake Dunn, Brock Dunn and Brayden Sharrock being
unavailable for the important clash due to representative
commitments.
While two competition points are on offer in what
is sure to be one of the big clashes of the season
both clubs will be keen to take home the Rick Keast
Shield which is now played for annually between the
two clubs.
To mark this special occasion the Brothers first
grade squad will wear specially designed and sponsored
yellow jersey’s which will be auctioned off
after the game.
The proceeds of the auction will be distributed to
the Kids Cottage Appeal and the Keast family. There
are other activities planned for the day and we are
calling all clubs supporters to come along and support
the players and club in this exciting endeavour.
Season Launch & Jersey Auction a Huge Success
A
word from the President, Steve Mullins
Brothers held a highly successful and well attended
season launch and jersey auction at the MTC Members
room on Saturday night.
President Steve Mullins welcomed new coach Blake
Dunn and a number of new players and noted the club
is looking forward to a fresh start and new direction
under Blake and the array of talent on offer.
Mully
thanked our returning sponsor for their invaluable
support and welcomed on board a number of new sponsors
including Joe De Jong Concreting and Davies Homes
who are sponsoring the 16's and 18's respectively.
Special mention was given to the continued support
from Remax Real Estate (Kerry Flynn) and the Tolland
Hotel who will be the clubs major sponsor.
The
First Grade Jersey Auction again proved extremely
popular raising plenty of money for the club and providing
a significant prize pool for the successful bidders.
The Semi Formal event in the surrounds of the MTC
Members Rooms was certainly a winner with all in attendance
and the club thanks everyone for the great support
and a great start to the 2010 season.
